Housing Authority of Chester County

The Housing Authority of the County of Chester was established in 1963 to meet the housing needs of low and very low income residents. Public Housing developments were built to help serve these residents, and through a HOPE VI program, initiated in 1998, the same public housing was demolished or renovated. The Housing Authority also serves as the Administrator for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher program and is also the recipient of Replacement Housing Factor (RHF) funds. Visit Website

Chester County Department of Community Development

The mission of the Chester County Department of Community Development (DCD) is to equitably advance housing affordability solutions, provide homeless outreach services, and invest in neighborhood revitalization as stewards of public funding so that individuals and families have the opportunity to thrive in vibrant, supportive, and inclusive communities. DCD administers Federal, State and County funds to address affordable housing, homeless assistance, community and economic development initiatives. DCD serves as the Coordinating Agency for the Chester County Partnership to End Homelessness. The Partnership aims to ensure that homelessness is a rare, brief, and one-time experience for all residents of Chester County. It promotes access to safe housing without discriminatory prerequisites and works to prevent homelessness through advocacy, resource coordination, and community engagement. Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission

DVRPC works to foster regional cooperation in a nine-county, two state area of the Philadelphia Region. City, county and state representatives work together to address key issues, including housing, transportation, land use, environmental protection and economic development. DVRPC provides services to member governments and others through population growth projections, planning analysis, data collection, and mapping services.
